Nvidia Launches RTX Spark Chip for AI-Powered Personal Computers

Nvidia has unveiled the RTX Spark PC chip, designed to bring artificial intelligence capabilities directly to laptops and desktop computers. CEO Jensen Huang announced the development at Taiwan's Computex conference, describing it as part of a three-year collaboration with Microsoft to "reinvent the PC" for the AI era.

The chip represents a shift toward running AI agents locally on devices rather than relying entirely on cloud computing. Developed with assistance from Taiwan's MediaTek, the RTX Spark will compete against chips from Advanced Micro Devices, Intel, and Apple.

Industry analysts say the technology could transform personal computing. Neil Shah of Counterpoint Research called it a pivotal moment for the segment, comparing its potential impact to the introduction of the iPhone or ChatGPT.
