Armenia Launches Export Subsidy Program for EU and North American Markets

Armenia has introduced a government support program to increase agricultural exports to the European Union, United Kingdom, and Canada. The initiative offers per-unit compensation for fresh produce and flowers shipped between June 1 and July 1, 2026, with rates ranging from 37 drams per flower stem to 770 drams per kilogram of strawberries.

The government allocated 1.9 billion drams ($5.2 million) across four categories: tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, and flowers. Officials project the program will facilitate exports of over 4,250 tons of vegetables and strawberries plus approximately 10 million flowers during June.

The program is available to legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and private individuals engaged in export activities. It aims to help Armenian producers access international markets, enhance competitiveness of domestic agricultural products, and boost export revenues.
