Armenian government allocates AMD 198.6 million for Public Radio modernization
The Armenian government has approved AMD 198.6 million ($540,000) in funding for the first phase of a technical modernization project at Public Radio of Armenia. The investment will support infrastructure upgrades and renovation work to improve the broadcaster's operational capabilities and service quality.
According to officials, the broadcaster's equipment has not undergone major modernization since 2004–2005 and requires comprehensive re-equipment with modern digital technologies. The upgrades are expected to reduce broadcasting disruptions, improve audio quality, and enhance audiovisual production standards.
The project aims to bring Public Radio's technical systems in line with current technological standards while strengthening service reliability for audiences.
